The PS3 is doing a very, very good job with PS2 games. I'm rediscovering some good old PS2 games and it's amazing how good they look...
But like many people said, if you don't care about the PS2, buy the cheaper version, and if you care a little bit, then trust me, you should pay more and go for the good old 60gb version while they last : )

The guys at Bungie are tired of working on Halo. Microsoft let them loose a bit, while still holding most of their future IP rights. On the other side, there's already another dev somewhere in the world that is already working on Halo 4. One or two years from now, bam, big news, Halo 4 is coming up, and it's done by "add dev name here". Since time will have passed, nobody will say: "Hey, only Bungie can make Halo".

For the PS3 with no emulation? I would think not... After all, you have the choice. Buy one that has emulation or one without. I would rather have them work on something else, particularly 2.0 firmware with all the "expected" goodies users want.

Currently, there's two ways to do backward compatibility on the PS3. Older PS3 have the original PS2 chips onboard. For cost saving, they removed those and are now doing backward compatibility by software only. It's already done. Lines of codes, once they are working, do not cost anything to add into hardware...

First, Lair should have a demo and pretty soon. I rented this game, and it's awesome. Sure, it's not a 10, but it's easily an 8. Flying is very easy and intuitive. Fighting on the ground is just great. Aiming from the air is super easy. Only bad thing is the air fighthing, that's why I'm giving it only an 8.
